This International Forum will bring together commercial real estate professionals from two continents interested in Investment & Development opportunities in Russia & CIS, and in Central and Eastern Europe. Tickets are now available for this important event.

Continuing where the first forum left off,’s second annual assembly of commercial real estate professionals from the USA and Europe will convene on October 29th and 30th, 2007 in New York at the American Conference Centers in Manhattan.

Keynote speaker Mr. Michael McCook will deliver a keenly-awaited address on how and when institutional investors decide to enter emerging markets. Mr. McCook, formerly of CalPERS, where he was responsible for managing over US$13 billion in real estate assets, is well know for his keen insight and experience in the investment world.

Special panels and focus presentations will include the markets of Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Serbia, Montenegro, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and the Baltic Republics. Experts from individual markets will be on hand to share their experiences and explain the opportunities they offer. Growing interest in the European Union’s newer members is accompanied by new challenges for property developers and investors. The depth and scope of the Russian market is meanwhile encouraging larger institutional fund managers to see it as a potential target for investment.

The more established CEE markets are seeing continued development in the major cities in all of the traditional sectors: office, retail, residential, hotel/leisure and warehouse. Additionally port cities and infrastructure in Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic States and Russia are particular focuses of efforts to modernize and compete.

The Forum will attract institutional investors and established developers as they look to expand their portfolios and improve margins that are under pressure in their home markets. With the spread of REITS and other innovative equity products to new markets, new opportunities for expansion are adding to interest in the dynamic markets of Russia and Eastern Europe.

The conference is sponsored by Euro Hypo, European Future Group, First Title, St. Petersburg Property Fund, with support from Institutional Real Estate, Inc, the European-American Business Organization, the Real Estate Board of New York, the Association of European Businesses, the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce and Eureka Hedge.
